Continue ShoppingI got my start working as a summer hand during college. I quickly realized that I had a passion for complex, symbolic, and meaningful projects - the first of which was the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in Seattle.
How prevalent and important this technology would become in the vertical construction industry! Five years ago I was working for a general contractor, and I hadn’t had the chance to see just how valuable these technologies can be to a project. Had I known more then, I would have joined DTS sooner.
For me, the iCON lineup of robotic total stations. I am a firm believer that this is the number one tool for maintaining quality and ensuring the correct placement of building entities on a project.
I am mostly looking forward to seeing what these technologies do to change the way that buildings are designed. Not just in the way that we construct them, such as innovations in modular design, but in the architecture itself. These tools allow for a more precise design/build workflow, which will allow us to build more complex, and beautiful projects for future generations to enjoy and draw inspiration from.
As being one of DTS’s first employees - I have been here for nearly four years, my favorite part of the job is sharing with my work with people whom I consider family (and in some cases actually are). We get to work with industry-leading technology every day, and having customers who turn into great friends only bolsters the strength of that family. Without our amazing customers, there wouldn’t be a DTS, and we wouldn’t have a presence in the industry without them.
I am an avid outdoorsman. I really enjoy exploring new places to go rock climbing, hiking, fishing, etc. I have been living near Washington D.C. now for almost two years, and exploring the city is still a favorite pastime.
