3D Scanner, Total Station and GPS Rentals
Rent when the project does not justify buying, when your own instrument is in for calibration, or when you want to run a scanner on a real job before committing. Datum Tech Solutions is a Leica Geosystems Authorized Service and Distribution Partner, and every rental ships calibrated, as a complete working kit, anywhere in the 50 states.

How renting works
Tell us the instrument and the dates, and we confirm availability before we quote. Rentals run on 2-day, weekly or monthly terms, with a 2-day minimum, and longer terms cost less per day. Each rental kit page shows the rates. A signed rental agreement is needed before the unit ships, and a certificate of insurance for customers we have not rented to before.
Every unit is checked and calibrated on our Boise bench before it leaves, and recertified when it comes back, every time. Kits ship with what you need to work: tripod, batteries, charger, targets and a hard transport case. Details are on how equipment rentals work.
Rent or buy?
For a few projects a year, renting usually wins once you count calibration, software, storage and training. If a scanner or robot is becoming steady work, rental spend can often be applied toward a purchase. See Leica 3D laser scanners and robotic total stations for sale, or have our crews do the work with 3D laser scanning services.
Need a unit on a date? Check availability and we will confirm what is on the shelf.
